| The Crusader wrestling team opened with wins over Colchester and Middlebury in a triangular meet at CVU. In that meet Bill Charbonneau had two pins at 130 weight class. Chris Fletcher and Adam Salvatori had wins both times they wrestled. In an early season meet at St. Johnsbury, several wrestlers were singled out for their performances: Brandon Rose placed first in his weight class with two pins, Adam Salvatori, a freshman, was fourth in his class, Denis White and Shane Daiziel wrestled well, and Jed Witham, a freshman, had two good matches. Coach Chris Bissonette said, "At a meet like this, a wrestler can have up to five matches in one day. Conditioning, experience, and age make a difference. |
