Fifth overall in state
"I couldn't be happier.  I told the squad earlier in the year I'd be happy to finish in the top twenty-five percent" said Coach Chris Bissonette.
Brandon Rose was state champion at 140 lbs, and named Outstanding Wrestler for the meet.  Rose won in overtime 7-5 on a last second takedown.  He defeated Matt Stratton who had beaten him in the last two state meets.
For  Rose it is a chance to go to New Englands and wrestle against the best in the East.
Adam Salvatori at 119 lbs, Bill Charbonneau at 125 lbs, and Chris Fletcher at 152 lbs each placed fifth in their weight class.  Denis White was fourth at 112 lbs.
Leah Zanaty (103), Jed Witham (160), Bill Babcock (171), Kyle Leduc (189) and John Pike all competed but did not place.
For CVU, this is a young team that has the potential to improve.
